Lyonga Battiston is an individual who not only wears many caps but whose life story highlights the importance of dedication, creativity, and unrelenting service to the community.

Healthcare Professional
As a health professional, Battiston is a frontline health caregiver currently serving as a charge nurse in both the Manatee Memorial Emergency Room and the Emergency room in the Advent Health Hospital. Equipped with a bachelor's degree in health care, he adds both professional competence and empathy to his duties, always striving to make patients' lives better and more fruitful.

Community Leader
Besides his professional life, Battiston is a well-acknowledged member of society and has a great passion for humanity and societal development. To foster his passion, he currently serves as chairman of the Battiston Lyonga Foundation. (House of Hope). He was elected President of his tribal group (Litumba Lisali) in Tampa, Florida, where he served from 2013 to 2022. He also served as the Pioneer President of the Veterans Football Association of Tampa, Florida, from 2020 to December 2022.
He is a founding member of the Bakweri cultural group Becda member and the organization's pioneer vice president from 2015 to 2019. In his commitment to contribute positively to society, he expresses his fondness for community work just like any other like-minded person, involving himself in local and global projects to improve the world.

Acknowledging his service to the community, He was awarded the 2003 Victoria Merit Award for Innovation, which celebrates his leading-edge contributions to the medical field. This was a cash prize British-sponsored award.

Business Acumen
It's not only Battiston's entrepreneurial spirit that makes him successful, but he is also business savvy. Beyond being a healthcare professional, he holds different organizational positions, serving as the Manager at Diaspora Facilitation Network LLC, USA, and President / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Diaspora Facilitation Network LLC, Cameroon.

He is the proud founder of Welu Enterprise and served as its CEO in 1999. Amongst others, he was entrusted to represent a German company producing HIV /AIDS drugs from (2003 – 2014) and MODELCO, a Swiss Cosmetic company from(2002 – 2010) in Africa, where he demonstrated strength in dealing with corporate entities and making international agreements.

Traditional Recognition
His contribution to developing his community and kindred at home and abroad has yet to pass without notice.  In addition to the traditional titles and recognition, he was bestowed with the traditional title of Notable and an Ambassador of the Liongo Village to the United States by the President of Southwest Chiefs in 2017, and he received the traditional title of Sango from His Majesty, the Paramount Chief of Buea in 2023.

Personal Life
Despite his hectic schedule and several accomplishments, Battiston remains grounded as a family man. He is a devoted husband and a happy/fulfilled father of three who greatly enjoys his time with his family. His love for sports, especially football and table tennis, showcases his active nature. His passion for movies and dancing depicts his personality.

Lyonga Battiston provides evidence of his undiluted commitment to excelling, persevering, and community development. He serves as a healthcare professional, community leader, and business visionary who continues to touch people's hearts and remind them to keep reaching out for the stars while remembering what is important in life.
