Active in church-related activities, Kenneth wrote a workbook entitled "Long Range Planning for Churches." It was published in the International Council of Community Churches in 1996. That same year he received the "International Poet of Merit Award" from the International Society of Poets for his poem entitled "Remember Jesus."
In 2006, he was inducted into the "International Poetry Hall of Fame" in Washington, D.C., for his outstanding poetry, and this award was presented to him by actress Florence Henderson.
Kenneth enjoys writing poetry for friends on special occasions and for special events or activities. He is particularly proud of his award-winning poems: "Make It a Year to Remember," "Remember Jesus," "Diana-Princess for All the People," and "The Masters." He notes, "I enjoy writing poetry that brings joy to my heart and hopefully to those I write about."
He is most proud of his poem "Lady Liberty Still Stands Tall," which was written following the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers in New York City and was read before the United States Congress two weeks later.
